Al (Do you believe in miracles?) Michaels is doing the play-by-play for ABC with Hubie Brown doing the color.

Sorta fun to watch a championship where I don't care.

want to know who the old guy doing the commentary is... he is SO BLATANTLY for Detroit... husband and son says it's been like this all season

Hubie...I'm rooting for Detroit and I agree that he is very partial to the Pistons.

Not as bad as Bill Walton. He HATES the Spurs.

"(Piston) did a BEAUTIFUL job on that play."

"Did you see the INCREDIBLE play by (Piston)?"

"That was a BEAUTIFULLY INCREDIBLY GORGEOUS play by (Piston)!"

Oh yeah, they're great for your son to root for.

Don't have a son (and at my current rate of female companionship, prolly never will), but it's still a standard worth upholding.

My Pop was a Colonel, and I'm a big believer of character and heroes. In peacetime, sports heroes should be someone to look up to, and strive to emulate (Curt Schilling comes to mind).

Guess I'm a dinosaur in today's America's sports scene.

p.s. Don't give up hope, it's the early in the fourth quarter they're tied up, sometimes the good guys win.

I predict the NBA schedule will soon be a year long thing.

We will have a season that lasts 12 months.....and by government edict we will extend the year to 15 months to allow the NBA to have a season that lasts 12 months and a playoff season of 3 months. The last 3 months of the basketball year will be a national holiday for all the couch potatoes that need to sit in front of the boob tube and watch a bunch of thyroidic freaks who can't buy shoes below a size 15 run around throwing a ball into a hole while making millions off of the beer and shoes they advertise to the couch potatoes.

I think I've pretty much nailed it.

THAREEEEEE Pointer right here!

Unless it's a flagrant, from now on, the refs need to swallow their whistles.

During the time they were losing, I could switch over to the game and I knew by the pitch of the announcer's voices that Spurs were trailing, the higher they were, the more the Pistons were winning by.
Yeah, I know the grammar of that sentence is crap. Sorry.

Hubie Brown. He's an ex-coach.

Funny you mention that, since he's about the only pro-Pistons guy in the media.

Well, David Robinson was an Admiral (not really) !

Spurs are in a military town and they know it, and they love their fans.
