When I purchased my home years ago, I missed the clause which stated that the land which my home was built on is held by a holding company.

This makes me curious. So all you own is the house itself? Do you have an easement for you to access your building, or can the owner of the land on which it sits capriciously deny you access to your building?

My home is in an older neighborhood Northeast of San Antonio. The holding company cannot deny me access since it is on a public street, but that does not mean the holding company won't decide that it will benefit them more by moving a "superstore" into the neighborhood.

Yes, apparently, all I own is the house itself, and we all know what a bear it can be to move a house off of a property!
