Three states and the District of Columbia reported no graduation rate data at all.

Probably because DC was embarrassed that their graduation rate was in the single digits....

This is interesting. Our local district announeced the graduates and the graduation. It also said that a number of them would not be receiving their diploma until they completed their coursework.

Does Graduate still mean receive a diploma?

They didn't seem to mind posting their outrageous truancy numbers for elementary school students.

"The average rate in D.C. elementary schools was 20.77 percent. "

http://www.washtimes.com/metro/20050214-104619-1543r.htm

overall rate about a quarter. 3 surround counties in VA and MD ... "its truancy rate far exceeds that of Prince George's County (1.8 percent), Fairfax County (0.6 percent) and Montgomery County (0.9 percent). "

Nice to know DC spends the most money per student I'm sure the tax dollars are well spent. Now move along nothing to see here.
