Well, then all evidence against him may have been destroyed by the police.
I've read it, but I'm not going there...yet.
I would think someone would notice if his hands were unusually red, scratched and chafed the day after he was with a girl who went missing.
(My personal feeling is that the body was disposed of at sea.)
