Somebody at RW just posted that Aruba only has drug sniffing dogs. No cadaver dogs. Quarry 4 miles from vnds.

Quarry 4 miles from vnds.hmmmm. Didn't realize it was that far from their house.

This coverage highlights one family's tragedy but also serves to educate all of us of what appears to be a problem for travelers going to Aruba (targeting people on the last night of a cruise, for example).
I would like to see Aruba someday but will probably wait until Aruba can provide a safer environment. Is it safe everywhere but Aruba? No. But should I find myself traveling anytime soon (in or outside of the US), I will take the lessons learned from this tragedy with me so I have a better chance of not becoming a victim of crime.

It also just occurred to me that they had Natalee's clothes for the dogs to get a scent.
However, if jvds has DNA deposited on Natalee's body, that would not be inconsistent with what he has said. The only thing that I can think of that would be incriminating would be if there were wounds on jvds that indicated a struggle, and if this DNA were still able to be analyzed after this long, and in these conditions.

I have been reading all posts and replies for weeks. I am a new member. I have a theory, however, I do not know HTML. When the LE announced weeks back and then recounted the Death and finding of the body. And when Daddy found out about it he stepped in to handle the matter. The body was taken to his home, then disposed of, hence the cover-up. I surmise he told the LE where the body is, and he is freed.

Dumb question, but did Natalee have anything with her at the time of her disappearance like a purse, etc.? Surely she had some type of ID with her at least?

I don't know if this has been stated as a fact or not.

Well, I am sure she was wearing
a dress (per what I was told in
a post the other day.)
A purse and shoes would be logical.
Her passport was w/her luggage in
her hotel room.

See the end for details. Arubans like to argue, I guess.

UPDATE:: We have word from multiple sources that divers are in the water at a quarry near the Van Der Sloots home. There are evidence flags up around the area. We will post as more information is available I pray that they'll find her today and this nightmare can be over soon. Thank God for the Texas Equisearch Team!

Supposedly these dogs are cadaver dogs. The dogs aren't sniffing for 'Natalee' specifically, they're sniffing for a human cadaver.

Yeah, I wondered about that, too. I wonder how they are trained for this task. Another trivial fact to learn, on top of so many others!
I pray that they fing this girl, her parents find some comfort in the closure, that God will lay His healing, soothing hand on her whole family, and that ...
whoever did this thing gets it good and hard.

She did not have a purse with her - only money - purse was in room...
That's what I recall reading...purse, cell phone, passport were all in the room.

Are those pics. of the
quarry?
Doesn't look like the black hole quarry I saw on FNC w/Greta last week.

Without her body, everyone goes home. With her body, a circumstantial case is possible.
