This same thing happened in Chicago about 15 years ago. A late night "wacky D.J." announced that the grand prize winner would get the "keys to a new BMW". So what the winner got was just the keys to a BMW, not the whole car. The winner went to court and sued, and collected. Plus the Wacky D.J. got fired.
P.S.: Never trust a DJ who goes by the name of "Slick". You are just asking for trouble.
Boston too. The Rolling Stones were coming to town, and a rock station DJ was offering "Dinner with the Stones".
The winner, a young girl, was hyperventilating, and the DJ made the phone call "Hello? Is this the Stones'
residence?" "Yes, Dr. and Mrs. Stone..."
You could hear the poor girl realizing she had been had.
