I talked to an operator at the Congressional switchboard and asked about sending snail mail. She told me that those long waits had been rectified and it took at most 4 or five days to get through. I think Senator Allen's website may be a bit out of date or perhaps he doesn't want to deal with the volume of mail he could potentially receive.

Emails. faxes and phone calls are all well and good, but a letter makes the most impact, and thousands of them really make the point.

Well, okay. Senator Allen stated this in NH last week-end as well. I think on certain issues, 4-5 days is too long anyway. We all just do what we can.
