Rove attacking Liberals is about as offensive as Dean attacking Conservatives Hardly. Dean's comments were made against the lifestyles and voting views of other Americans. Rove's comments though couched nicely I thought pointed out that liberals are basicly unconcerned about the deaths of fellow Americans and are will to sacrifice lives of innocents in the pursuit of fuzzy, nebulos, utopian dream.
When and under what circumstances are we allowed to fight back and call terrorists what they are? Exactly what evil do we have to wait for before we have the proper permission slip to defend our citizens in their homes and at work.
Say what you like but the liberals have made it plain that they are simply on the other side. Rove called them on it in far gentler words than they deserve.

I'm just happy the Dims are continuing to make this an issue. The can go before the American people all they want to deny they don't want to fight the WOT. It just highlights the fact that Rove was right and the people know it - that's why Bush got re-elected.

Hey Democrats - retract this. I could never be a US senator - I would get kicked out for punching Nancy Pelosi in the head or giving Harry Reid an atomic wedgie or something...
No friggin doubt! Pelosi reminds me of my 8th grade English teacher. She was a typical old spinster. Never got married and thought "boys" were just pure evil because of our protruding plumbing.
We loaded up a paper sack full of dog doo on Halloween and lit fire to it on her porch. It was hilarious watching here stamp out the fire. She had a little Pekinese dog that ran out into the middle of the goo and tracked it back into her house and her white Persian carpets!

Needless to say she was not amused, and booted the little dog out the door.
We laughed to hard and loud though. Though she couldn't prove who did it, she knew who the perps were and gave me a D- in English that semester. My dad pretty much took care of the punishment end, when I came home with that little jewel on my report card.

I wish Rove would now go on to say
"The liberals are trying to lose this war in the same way they lost Vietnam"
Why not? They love harking back to Vietnam, don't they?

Hannity is on the air right now with the absolute proof in quotes and strategy immediately after the 9/11 attacks. Perhaps Stooper Shumer ought to listen in so he understands Rove is doing nothing but telling the truth.
This is what the libs are upset over. They know it is the truth and will hurt them even more than the idiots they have voicing the DumbocRat's party position. Every time I turn around these pukes are getting together to develop a strategy for getting their message out to the American People. Personally I think they are doing an excellent job.
Rove's take on the libs is in fact what they want. Why aren't they standing up and admitting it rather than calling Rove out for something that can easily be proven. I am sure by the time the MSM gets done with it, Rove will have accused them of helping fly the planes.

Speaking of Kerry, he had the most bizarre reaction to Rove's remarks.
It was something along the lines of "liberals are soft on terrorists? Tell that to Kristen Breitweiler." Huh?
To: capydick
At least Karl flushed out the Demorats. Notice he said "Liberals" in his talk. Usually, when you call a Democrat a liberal, they respond with something like "You don't need to label me." Here comes Karl, and outs liberals, and every Democrat in Washington is upset. They've confirmed, without reservation, just who they are.

The truth always seems to hurt, does't it? What the liberals seem to do best is look for reasons to demand apologies and retractions, when they are not trying to outdo each other on bashing America.
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
It would actually be REAL news if the AP and/or Reuters ran the same story about what Republicans are saying about Pelosi's remarks.

"Schumer said Democrats were drafting a letter asking Rove to retract his remarks. Jim Manley, spokesman for Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., also called on President Bush to ``immediately repudiate Karl Rove's offensive and outrageous comments.''
Why? Bush probably wrote Karl Rove's speech!
To: Fido969
Most of us are offended by a Schummer, Hillary or Kennedy everyday. Dean and Reid are not making sense. The Democrats act like a bunch of sore losers who need medications.
To: truthluva
The Durban apology sounded like a man who turned female.
Maybe he is on medication because his voice was cracking and changing pitches while he attempted to sound honest.

Pshaw.

This retraction demanding thing is getting a bit much. We have elections for a reason. I suggest both sides just suggest that they find the other execrable, and look forward to the next election. JMO.

"Rove said the Democratic Party made the mistake of calling for ``moderation and restraint'' after the terrorist attacks. "
That is NOT what he said .. he said LIBERALS, not the Democratic Party.

"...conservatives saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and prepared for war"
"...liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers."This captures the essence of the two positions. There is no other quote in politics that so clearly describes the difference in how the two sides think .... and the damned liberals are embarrassed about it.
