And the lawyer in eminent domain actually defends your property rights against the government--the lawyer of your choice, I might add.
Too bad you don't see that lawyers protect people from the government by understanding their rights.
By the way, do you get paid for what you do?

Good morning.
Actually, I get paid for what I did. I spent my youth and my health hunting communists so I now get paid for being unable to work.
I was married to a lawyer for several minutes and my wife now has operated an attorney support service for 25 years. I understand how the law works and why we must have it but I also understand that the law is a weapon used by our enemies to stick it to us. Most of the legislators who abuse us are lawyers and all of the judges who make decisions like the one we are debating are lawyers. I think I read somewhere once that this was not always the case.
