You are probably right. So, man just has to move out of the cities into the country if they want the possibility of keeping their land for their families.
Now - the cities will mainly have rentals - no home ownership because of the fear of lossing the investment. Can you imagine what this will do to the cities.
When people move outside of the cities, the tax base will fall. Pure justice. Also, what about housing development, local restaurants, shops. All will suffer because of the property rights.
Think of this when you plan on buying a new house. Might look at surrounding country locations.
Explain to me why you believe the "country" is safe? I live in a rural area and I don't trust my local governments any more than I would if I lived in a metro area. In fact, I would guess that this will be used more often in rural-but-growing areas.
You people around here just don't get it.
In 50 years or so, when America's population growth (all from immigration) has us bursting at the seams . . .
They will seize your country home because the land will be needed for crops, natural resources, or wildlife.
And you all will be herded into efficient population centers: cities.
Nothing can save us now except reducing run-away population growth from immigration.
Accommodating all those people is why they will seize your homes.
I love living in a rural area. My sister always says we live so far out, they have to pump in the sunshine.
