Every one in my family has already called the WH, and congressional leaders. I even had my 4-year old leave a message. Still nothing from our President on this disgraceful left-wing ruling.

Just as there will be nothing from him or his party about immigration.
Cheap labor and the ability to cheaply acquire land from private owners for development both enormously benefit big capital, and big capital are the largest contributors to the Republican Party.
Likewise, among the Democrats there is always shrill shrieking against the War on Terror, regardless of the feelings of rank and file American Democrats, because the largest contributors to the Democratic Party are vehemently opposed to the war on ideological grounds.
The silence or volume of the President on such issues indicates where the power lies in the United States.
And it does not lie with the private citizens who are angry about the loss of security of private homes, or angry about illegal immigration.

Great to hear you're all contacting your representatives. Thanks! I'm e-mailing the White House contact info and hyperlinks to the Senate directory and House directory to everyone I know. From what I understand, eight states already have laws banning the seizure of private property for this type of use; there are 42 of us left to get something done. It sounds as though state laws are our recourse for this outrageous decision. Hopefully, readers of this post will find these links to be helpful. |
