Another to add to the long list of 'best essays for perspective'. Great writing, John.
This particularly caught my eye: "The 'abuse' included being forced to hear Christina Aguilera's music while chained to the floor (which is torture when you want to dance)..." It occurred to me that the terrorists at Gitmo don't want to dance so much as they want with all their heart to get free and murder Americans, and they wanted that way before being gitmo-ized and adding those extra pounds. It will actually surprise me if when the next terrorist attack on US soil occurs several abetting democrats aren't quietly 'splashed' by outraged citizens who see the treachery of democrat leadership for what it is and will not abide any more of it!

Good thoughts.. thanks for stopping by. The citizen outrage we hear about (other than at Fox/FR) seems to be against GWB most of the time, doesn't it?

"The 'abuse' included being forced to hear Christina Aguilera's music while chained to the floor This provokes another thought... Instead of Aquilera's music, Perhaps "Because He Lives" by the Gaithers. Can you imagine the uproar by ACLU, libs, etc.?
God sent His Son
They called Him Jesus,(not Mohammad)
He came to love, heal and forgive
He bled and died
to buy my pardon
An empty grave is there to prove
My Savior Lives
And Because He Lives
I can face tomorrow
Because He Lives
all fear is gone
And then I'll know
He holds the future
and life is worth the living
just Because He Lives.
