More excellent insight on just how loathsome Durbin's comments were and how phony his apology was.

One of those broadcasters was an American known as Tokyo Rose. Another, Mildred Gillars of Portland, Maine, was known as Axis Sally.

Quick, now: which one is Sally...? :)

A terrorist who calls for more American blood gets more press and air time than anyone who speaks on behalf of American security.

Anyone who speaks out in support of our military or our nation is either marginalized as part of a "right-wing spin machine" or completely ignored

He Nailed that one

Jane Fonda was never charged nor brought to trial.

After that anything goes.

Cdr S, Thanks for the Post.

It's not just Durbin but the entire MSM that is in the Toyko Rose/Axis Sally/Leonard Mosley camp.

As telling as the attacks themselves is the Democrat response to them. They and their running dogs in the media blame those who criticize their outrageous behavior.

As usual, it is also hard to find sharp and genuine criticism from the generally flaccid GOP political class. They're running scared, as expected. About the most they can conjure up is muted, clucking disapproval - then effusive praise when a phony and disingenuous "apology" is read.

Real outrage seems pretty much confined to talk radio, blogs and the folks back home who have simply had enough.

What Durban done was to forever slander the name of every Service man and woman who either gave their lives or served in Iraq or Afghanistan because his words are in the Congressional Record. In a thousand years from now people will be able to read those words if they wish. There was no refutation to them.

The ghosts and blood of every American, from Concord and Bunker Hill to the present who gave their life in the defense of this country cried out "Defend My Honor" to the members of the Senate. No one did.

Oh, some may have "debated" him and called on him to "apologize". Big deal! Not one Republican rose to the floor and said:"With all respect due, which is none, to the Senator from Illinois he is a liar, our troops while operating under tremendous stress perform many acts of human kindness, care, and compassion for the people whom they are defending daily. His lying words not only slander and libel our Service men and women but put the lives of every American citizen living abroad in peril. If he had a decent bone in his body, since he believes every lying word he uttered, he would resign his seat in the Senate , denounce his American citizenship, and depart upon the next flight out from the United States. I did and do not expect a Democrat to denounce him because they, like him, believe every word he said. In a dream world, I would have expected a stronger response from the Republicans but we are living in reality. The Republicans are too busy kissing the Democrat's asses and quaking in fear from being called "mean spirited" by the main stream media. That is my take on Durban.

Treason the highest crime in the land and is worthy of nothing other than the DEATH PENALTY. Durbin should be indicted for Treason and so should most of the COMMUNIST SO
CALLED DEMORAT PARTY. A Communist take over of our Government offices and our Justice system. We always feared
the communist take over and now that it's here, nobody wants to call it for what it is.
Hitlary is the PUPPET and MOUTH peice for the NY times. The Clintons are guilty of treason, Slick got pardoned but I don't think Hitlary was pardoned of treason and she and Chelsea are just as guilty as Slick Willy.
Our Government officials are all scared to death of the word TREASON and pretend to not know the meaning of the word because most of them are also guilty of Treason or some criminal activity.
Hitlary knew those FBI files would keep her and her communist party and terrorist buddies from ever being convicted.
