Why Conservative Pundits Trash Hillary Author
Rushlimbaugh.com ^ | 22 June 2005 | Rush Limbaugh

RUSH: It's kind of like what's happening here with this Ed Klein book. Exactly what I predicted is happening. The media is creating a backlash about this book before the book even comes out. The book came out yesterday. This Klein guy is having a tough time getting on TV for any interviews. The press is not curious about what he's saying. They're circling the wagons trying to defend Hillary, but in addition to that -- and this is where the similarity to the Durbin business came in. In addition to that a whole bunch of conservative pundits are out there in a race to see who can be first to impress the mainstream media that they are not right-wing wackos. "I don't abide this book. Hey, don't want me in with Limbaugh and those other guys," and I haven't said a word about the book. One little reference two weeks ago. The contents of book are irrelevant to me at this point and I'm going to tell you what happens, folks: I don't care what the book says. The book is going to make Hillary even bigger. The book is going to turn her into -- the way this culture works she's going to become -- an even bigger celebrity. She's going to become a bigger star out of all of us.

told you, Hillary authorized the release of this book. She couldn't play the victim of the vast right winged conspiracy if she didn't have anything to point to... Now she has a liberal Ed Klein playing the part of a conservative and the media is saying that conservatives approve of this book. total BS. I DO NOT support slander with unnamed sources no matter who they are about.

What the book is going to do is get all Hillary!s dirty laundry out in the world so by the time she runs for President it's old news.

I don't know who this Klein guy is, but he's doing her a favor.

You think? Considering how narrow the margin is in most of our presidential elections, perhaps this will persuade those who are on the fence.

I ordered it today, not because I have any great burning desire to read the book, but because I want it to hit the top on Amazon. If we encourage the independant journalists, maybe they will do a better job.

She can be as big a celebrity as Michael Jackson.....and the 2 of them will still have the same chances of ever being POTUS.

You people who think Hillary is behind this:

You are outsmarting yourselves. The book is full of derogatory information about her. Therefore, it is not in her interest. The more publicity it gets, and the more it sells, the better. We need more negativity about Hillary in order to heighten her negatives -- especially with GWB, GHWB, Frist, and other Republican "leaders" playing nice with her and allowing her to develop phony "moderate" credentials. Will there be some backlash effect? Sure ... among people who will end up voting for the bytch anyway.
Use your thinking caps, people. The revelations in this book will ENERGIZE and MOTIVATE a frightened conservative base who think, quite rightly, that the bytch has an excellent chance of being elected president. This book gives us hope and talking points, and it reminds us of the dangers of a Hitlery presidency. We need to buy it, talk it up, and support its courageous author.

The Left didn't attain its stranglehold on this country by playing patty-cake with its enemies and cannibalizing its friends. Think about it, folks. Mr. Nice Guy, whether in the form of GWB or Sean Hannity (bashing Klein) just doesn't cut it.

Yes, it was a joke. It was absurdity exemplified by being absurd. Clinton was, at the time, running around denying that he did and said things which he just recently did and said. And the media just let though paper-thin denials stand up without question. Gennifer Flowers had his lying @ss on tape telling her to deny the affair and then he claims that he never talked to her, for instance.

So, El Rushbo endorsed Clinton for 15 minutes. And then came back from the next break and denied that he had ever done it - much to the frustration of some lesser intellectual listeners who tried to hold him responsible for his fictitious endorsement. It was actually pretty funny.

Yeah, it was a joke. I remember listening that day and he got everyone all whipped up into a frenzy. I thought my best friend would have a stroke before she figured it out.

Your arguments would hold water if the accusations in the book were well documented or supported - so far everything that has come out from the pictures of Slick to the rape that produced Chelsea appear to be fabrications or undocumentable rumour. Meanwhile, the public grows bored, Hillary gets to play the poor maligned victim and is inoculated against her very real vices and corruption.

Hillary has the support of the media - which, just as Rush says, is rushing to defend and cover for her. Meanwhile, the majority of the American public just continue to ignore the pilfering of their pocketbooks, corruption of their children and subversion of their culture by libs, greens and the apathetic.

Nobody will remember what is in a book written by an author that the MSM has chosen to ignore that is published 3+ years before the next Presidential election. In fact, this won't even be on anybody's radar screen for next year's Senatorial mid-term elections when the junior Senator from NY comes up for re-election.

I hope I am wrong but this story won't have legs.

True. Problem is what has always been with the Clintons. Fear. Klein told NRO that these sources were reliable and real. But, no one was foolish enough to be tied to the information.

The Clinton machine is consistantly and effectively ruthless with anyone that leaves the reservation. That's why so many have fallen on their swords over the last 13 years.

It's safer.
