What if they gave a boycott, and nobody came?

"Fair enough. However, why does it bother you that Disney gives same-sex benefits to its employees? That's no skin off anyone's back but Disney's shareholders."

Exactly, it is profit taken unfairly from the shareholders that own the business. Furthermore, why should two people be required to perform perverted sex acts to even be considered for said benefits?? Performing perverted sex acts is no badge of accomplishment deserving of special treatment, not to mention the high risk behavior of said acts and the rampant venereal disease and forty-something year associated lifespan. Why not best friends, brother-sister, Uncle-niece or whatever--don't they deserve the same benefits abscent the acts of rimming, fisting, gerbiling, etc?

I don't have a problem with distribution of R-rated with some limits, but don't try to pass yourself off as the gate-keeper of wholesome family entertainment.

The shareholders don't seem to mind, or they would have elected a board of directors to change the rules.

I suppose if Disney wanted to extend benefits in such a situation, they could. Again, it is their money.

I would also mention the promoting of a lifestyle which is clearly a public health issue involving millions is just plain stupid. Is it ok to have a day where heroin addicts can meet?

HIV / AIDS is a contagious disease which is dangerous to public health, the incidence of which in the male homo population is staggering. It should NOT BE TREATED AS A CIVIL RIGHTS ISSUE, which it has been for 20 years. Under no circumstances should the federal government continue to subsidize activities nor allow the promotion of such which have the effect of encouraging perverted or promiscuous sexual conduct. Criminal penalties should apply to those whose willful acts of omission or commission place members of the public at risk of contracting HIV / AIDS. Did it ever occur to you that this infectious disease affecting millions is the only such disease that is not treated as a public health issue?? Why do you think that is??

Perverted behavior should be discouraged, not promoted as a badge of honor. The Will&Grace show is not a fair representation of what homosexual behavior is about, it is more like a Hollywood promotional to normalize deviant behavior.

While Disney is NOT an official sponsor of Gay Days, they ARE an official sponsor of the Night of Joy - actually two evenings, which they promote on their website as follows:
= = = = = = = = = = =
Rejoice to the rockin' sounds and movin' messages from some of today's most powerful voices in Contemporary Christian music. Live concert performances on stages throughout the Magic Kingdom® Park showcase the best of Christian Pop, Rock, Urban, and Gospel music. It's a magical, musical celebration of inspiration and joy!

See 19 stars* — live on stage. Rejoice in two unbelievable nights ... Friday, September 9 and Saturday, September 10 ...

Considering this, the Narnia movie and the coming change in management, I think the Baptists were correct in ending the boycott at this time.

The end of the boycott and the probable success of a well-done Narnia flick will only encourage Disney to return to its pro-family roots.

Disney never sponsored gay day, so how exactly do your friends think Disney is ending it?
