From the National Republican Senatorial Committee -
From: NRSC Press Office Sent: Tuesday, June 21, 2005 Subject: NRSC Press Release: Pederson Shops for Message 6.21.05
Wealthy Developer Jim Pederson Shopping for a Winning Message
Pederson wants a message that will resonate Another John Kerry Liberal who doesnt know what he believes in -or stands for.
Washington, DC: Wealthy developer Jim Pederson told the Arizona Daily Star on Monday that we want to assemble the best team possible and get the message down, the kind of message that we think would resonate with most of the people in this state.
After leading John Kerrys high tax, big government and weak on defense and terror campaign in Arizona to a resounding ten-point defeat, Jim Pederson is continuing his John Kerry ways trying to figure out what he believes in justify his candidacy, said Blaise Hazelwood, Political Director of the National Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee.
Wealthy developer Jim Pederson used his first campaign interview with the Daily Star to immediately attack Senator Jon Kyl, sending a signal that his check book campaign will be one of the most negative in Arizona history, Hazelwood continued.
Former State Chairman Bob Fannin said, Jim Pederson will certainly bring a liberal track record to his checkbook campaign his support for Howard Dean as DNC chairman, his support for John Kerrys call for higher taxes and the Kerry record of gutting U.S. intelligence budgets these liberal positions will define for Arizonans just who Jim Pederson is.
Hazelwood stated, The Arizona Republic (9/13/01) says Senator Kyl is A recognized authority on terrorism, and (11/17/04) "Senator Kyl's ascendancy within the Senate Leadership has come about the right way, through diligence, hard work and intellectual prowess." That is the stature, values and record Arizonans expect in a U.S. Senator.
Jim Pederson is a John Kerry liberal who really doesnt know what he believes in.

Should have said:
I have heard that he may attempt..............
He's going after Kyl. Shouldn't be a problem except that Kyl's approval rating is at 49%, largely a factor of his low profile. Pederson supplied the last minute money for Napolitano's win. Napolitano will win a second term handily.
I think she will win as well. I can only imagine how much money she will spend on illegals as well as raising our taxes BIG time.
There is something really wrong with the AZ Republican Party. They are good at sending emails but horrible when it comes to campaigning and/or getting a decent candidate to run against the Butch.
Jim just tell the voters the truth.I have a plan.
The Goldwater Institute needs a good shakeup. They should be taking a leadership role. The RP should be the most dynamic driving force in one of the most dynamic states in the union. It may take the loss of one or more senate seats to wake them up.
Pederson is a limousine liberal leech who has made millions from tax incentives and buddy-buddy land deals.
Isn't Tom Liddy in charge of the Maricopa County Republican Party? If so, he has done a terrible job.
Hmmm......I can only imagine the scandals.
