The planes are all over 40 years old, closer to 50.
They are so hard to fly that they would not meet minimum US military specs if they were a new design.

our B52's and our nuclear missles are also a half century old. When we go to war with communist china, we will be fighting with equipment that will be 70 years old.

I have heard that, at altitude, a U-2s stall speed and structural failure are only a few mph apart...
