To: F14 Pilot

So things don't get out of hand here. Do let us remember we sold him a bunch of small chopers, forget the model Bells, for commercial use. We did not sell him any planes. Nor ordnance or munitions to wage war with. Just to clear up any "cloud" that could enter someones mind as they read this barn stuff.

Yo Devil-Dog, we also supplied the Iraqis with much satellite and other intelligence during their war with Iran. It was the last gasp of classic trench warfare, so knowledge of what the Ayatollah's boys were up to, was crucial to the Iraqi's holding on.

Yup, Saddam, while not exactly a pal, was not on our hit list for a long time. If that nitwit Ambassador April Gasby (sic) hadn't given him the wrong idea about our interest in Kuwait, he might still have a job.
