Because the left are liars. Actually, they were given not by the committee, but by some kind soul who gave the credentials they no longer needed to someone they thought would like to attend.
The Pinkos staked out a bar or a restaurant, befreinded a gullible person and were given the credentials. Now remember, the angry left was VERY angry that Linda Tripp wasn't REALLY monica Lewinsky's friend. Well, the Pinko who conned the credentials from an unsuspecting mark REALLY wasn't their friend.
Of course, the Pinkos are Wackos and the whole concept that they lied (though not directly) doesn't matter to them. They are so full of hate, for Bush, America, self-reliance and for those who refuse to let "The Enlightened" (i.e., the Pinkos) decide everything that they are immune to normal morality. That's something to the peasants, not the Politburo.
Communism is a good deal if you're one of those that gets a seat atop Lenin's Tomb for the May Day Parade. And Medea Benjamin and June Brashares have already decided they'll lead the revolution, not have to live it. That's for the peasants...
