We have no state property taxes that I know of, however I pay city & county taxes which increased again this year of closed to $900.

No state property taxes here, either, all school district and county plus some special "tax districts". The citizens where I live have wisely (/sarcasm) voted in extra sales tax for a bus district.

In round numbers (too lazy to look up the actual appraisal) my last bill ran about $2,400 for each $100k of valuation and with the explosion, on paper, of property values the valuation is way off the charts, no way it represents the market value.
