Daley is your typical politician and graft and corruption are hallmarks of Chicago politics.

But there are certain issues he is pretty well grounded on. Our men in uniform, the disabled etc. He was very outspoken about Shiavo and such.

If Terry had lived in Chicago the story would have been a lot different. Michael would have slipped and bumped his head and Terri would still be alive. Sometimes a little corruption is a useful thing.

You're right about that. The hospice might have been visited by a lot of inspectors and I don't think there is a nursing home or other public facility around that can stand too close an inspection.
Also if michael had been working on the Cook County Jail, well I'm not saying anything physical might have happened to him, but I imagine he would not have been happy about different shift changes and job assignments.
and I don't think any two bit probate judge would have had the clout to stand up to Daley.
