Speaking of 'disgusting', I see that Bill Frist has now let Durbin off the hook:

In a statement, Frist appeared to signal that the end had, in fact, arrived.
"Sen. Durbin's apology was a necessary and appropriate step in repairing the harm his earlier remarks have had on the image of the millions of fine men and women serving in America's military," Frist said. "As members of Congress we must always be sensitive to the fact that it is their struggles and sacrifices that keep us safe in the war on terror."

For the record, let's all remember that while Durbin, and Robert Byrd (for his public utterance of the "n"-word), were let off the hook, the Dems NEVER extended the same courtesy to Bush, to Trent Lott, nor to any other Republican.

Sadly, I guess the 'pubbies never WILL learn to play 'hardball' with the Democrats...

I am reminded of this image from the 'way back' archives...
