No apology to Weldon. In fact, he was not mentioned.

Didn't expect anything from O'Reilly.

I suspect Weldon was not telling the truth.

Re: #103. Dead on, although haven't you noticed that a disproportionate number of Hannity's fans are female?

No. But I will take your word for it.

God invented faxes and emails for a reason. It is called creating a paper trial. God was wise. I rather strongly suspect Weldon is lying.

Er, paper "trail." There is a downside legacy to being a lawyer. :)

If so I apologize, although I thought at the time my personal attacks were part of my rational criticism.

On the "agree/vehemently disagree" scale I'm 50/30. Therefore you are my enemy.</sarcasm>
;-)

Like you, I am forever perplexed by some of the shoot-in-foot or circular-firing-squad types we have on FR. We (conservative/libertarians) don't have THAT many journalist/pundits in the mainstream that we should go about destroying some of the few we got. You can disagree with BOR on specific issues without attacking him personally.

I agree with you completely.

I've decided I'm no long going to sit behind my computer and fume about the bashing. What happened to Hannity a couple months ago was shameful, and at a minimum reflected terribly on FR. This from someone who seldom listens to him because I can barely stand his style. He's still a passionate voice for our side, reaching millions and completely undeserving of the scourn often heaped on him.

Of all the people who engage in the bashing your involvement surprises me the most.

As a sponsor of a charity yourself, you obviously care about people. And you must realize that personal attacks on you would affect your charity. It’s no different with Hannity’s charity.

You are an influencing factor in whether or not someone helps the children of fallen soldiers get to go to college. Do you want to be a positive influence, or a negative one?

You may think that mentioning a children’s charity is a red herring. It isn't. That's real money being raised, real children being helped. The red herring description applies to most liberal "it's for the children" rhetoric, because it’s just that, a lot of talk with little or no action. Not true with the Hannity fund, he doesn’t even take expenses, everything goes to the kids.

But that’s not really the issue. I just never understand why the personal attacks, fragging really, of our own soldiers in this everlasting war against the liberals.

So you don’t agree with them. Take on the issue of disagreement; don’t throw a hand grenade at them personally. Save it for the other side.
