This is totally inexcusable on Pelosi's part. Blunt is setting a great example here and I hope more follow.
This types of comments simply send the wrong message to our troops fighting the war on terror.

Keep it coming. Republicans need to come out strong, NOW. Dont wait.

Pelosi continues to embarress herself on a day to day basis. She is going no where fast, and I'm just grateful that people like Blunt are willing to call her out on it.

House Majority Whip Roy Blunt (Mo.) today issued the following statement regarding comments made by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) on the House floor Thursday..... When are the 'Pubs going to cease all the "statements" after the fact--made in some obscure hallway to just a few reporters....???
They should be saying these things in immediate and confrontational rebuttal... right there on the House floor... with as much passion for what is right-- as our adversaries have for their wrongful views on these matters.
Dear GOP....
GET A BACKBONE!
(P.S. the sooner the better)
Apols for rant....

Pelosi and the rest of the traitorous scum are engaging in sedition if not out right treason. Every time one of these idiots utters something along these lines it gives the terrorists hope and keeps them fighting resulting in more dead and wounded US soldiers.
They need to sit down and STFU.

.. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) on the House floor Thursday calling, the war in Iraq a "grotesque mistake" and the resources allocated for fighting the war spent "without success:" .. And she thinks she'll get away with it.. as usual.. hopefully not this time.
Also on this link: http://msnbc.msn.com/id/6095868/ .. On the same note, Kerry said Friday that Bushs policies have let Osama bin Laden slip away. ..
I reckon Bill Clinton let OBL slipped away several times during his administration.

Pelosi is beyond embarrassment. Since her most recent plastic surgery the only emotion she can show is embarrassment. So how would we know?

Did SanFranNan ever respond to Speaker Hastert's demand that she denounce Durban's statements? I didn't hear it, if she did.

I agree. The Republicans let too many outrageous statements by Democrats go unchallenged.

Actually them Republican Congress-Critters in the House have been doing a pretty good job. The Democrats have been trying to destroy Tom DeLay for a loooooong time and despite my earlier predictions the House leadership and others have stood firm.
I for one am very happy with the House Republicans and for the most part happy President Bush, but that bunch in the are a disgrace and I am starting to wonder if they deserve remain in the majority

Read twice, post once! Should read:

Democrats are following Brookings, their liberal think tank's scripts.
Problem is: How do you get recognized with statements when Howard Dean already preempted this verbiage.
Both Pelosi and Durbin tried to outdo Dean and got not only wet, but made Americans recognize their arrogance and vile.
On top of it, their steadfastness pushed them even more away from main streamers to the radical left a bastion they already held and occupied.

"Leader Pelosi's comments during debate on the bill to fund America's military operations in wartime stand in stark contrast to the bravery of the millions of Iraqis who voted in democratic elections for the first time, and the thousands of coalition troops who have given their lives to defend freedom." That has got to sting. So very true. Keep it up Reps. Time we were honest with the American people where these Traitors really stand. It is not on the side of the military they speak against, the war they will not fund, the C-I-C they serve nor the country they protect. It is on the side of al-Quida. Enemy of my enemy is my friend. And how pathetic they consider our President the enemy.

Agreed.
IMO, Delay and the Prez's team need to get together to study all the aveneues open to them under law and Body rules...then isolate the senate completely.
