This is completely off-topic, and for that I do apologize, but am I the only one wondering if some are wishing for a return to Crown rule vis a vis 'treason'? It seems like every time someone says something or does something that someone else doesn't like, that someone else has to yell "treason!". To me, it cheapens the meaning of the word as redefined by the men who founded this country to escape things like the Crown's definition of "treason" (which amounted to saying or doing something the King didn't like). I may be downright disgusted with a lot of the garbage spewed by liberals and other assorted nutjobs, but to me, this is as bad as those who scream "terrorism!" at every gunshot or car accident. Treason and terrorism are both very serious things, and I think they deserve to be discussed in serious, deserving circumstances; not cheapened to the point of being words tossed around for shock value. Or am I just being overly irritable?

You think it's overused - the fact is it is happening at am alarming rate and it isn't even prosecuted.
