Well I think the problem with the Conservatives is that they already lean way too far left. They still have the boogeyman that was the the Reform Party hanging around their necks and it just don't play in Ontario.

Take the recent tape scandal, for example, it was "everybody run away" at the first sign that they had been doctored. The libs spun it right back at Harper and the gang and made the doctoring the story not the scandal that should have been brought to light.

The liberal media machine in Canada will crush anyone who wobbles, even for a second. Brian Mulroney (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Mulroney) knew how to grind right back at them, but sadly I don't think he's coming back.

Mulroney is just the type of liberal that could lead the Conservatives to the promised land.

As for leaning left, they have not leaned far enough for the Province that counts.
