AFP via Yahoo! ^ | 6/20/05

Posted on 06/20/2005 10:22:56 AM PDT by dead

In this photograph, made available by the U.S. Marines an Iraqi man sits on the floor with
welts and lacerations across his back and arms from being tortured with electricity
while held captive, according to the Marines. The man, along with three others, were
discovered by Iraqi Security Forces and Marines from 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine
Regiment inside what the Marines say was an insurgent torture chamber in the city
of Karabilah, Iraq during Operation Spear. (AP Photo/USMC Cpl Neill A. Sevelius)

"The picture should be enlarged and sent to every one of those lily-livered Democrats, Socialists, and Liberals, so they can see what real torture is, and who is doing it. WHERE is the Outrage, from Kerry, Kennedy, Clinton, et al?"

Their constituents really believe that if we'd never gone to Iraq in the first place, none of this crap would be happening.

"insurgent torture chamber"

There's that word again, "insurgent".

Such a nice heroic term, kind of like revolutionary.

Our folksput some drawers on some prisoner's heads and make them walk around naked, form human pyramids, and take pictures - it's a WAR CRIME>

THe Terrorists in Iraq literally electrocute and cut a prisoner in an effort to torture him and we hear basically nothing.

Our own media and a sizable portion of our illustrious leaders are so anti-American that they should be charged with treason. I'm so sick and tired of it.

I believe you have misinterpreted the photo sweetie. This is a man who was held captive by Iraqi insurgents.

Seeing that he has no underwear on his head, and is not shown with any fellow captives in a pyramid, this is not constituted as torture.

Gee, you really think that's as bad a telling a guy to balance himself on a box for fear of being electrocuted once? </sarcasm>

I want to see Janeane Garofolo working at Wal-Mart.

Janeane Garofolo? Working at Wal-Mart? She'd kill herself first.

Stop giggling.

What gets me madder than anything about Dick Turban isn't really that he said what he said. It's that he's going to get away with it. They won't censure him, he won't resign, this'll all go down the memory hole in a couple of days. We'll still be voices in the wilderness screaming about it, but nobody will hear.

I will never understand the GOP's reluctance to fight just as hard as the Demos. And frankly, this is the problem with having a less-than-articulate President; Bush doesn't have the skill to consistently get his point across. I said it before and will say it again, without fear of contradiction: George W. Bush is the worst public-speaking President in the history of recorded sound.

I don't think his father, Reagan, or Nixon would have any problem speaking up about something like what Durbin said. Ford? Probably. Clinton is masterful at slicing up the GOP (employing gross exaggerations and outright lies, of course) while making it seem like he is above the political fray and still is everybody's friend. They don't call him Slick Willie for nuttin', honey.

They won't censure him,
True.

he won't resign,
True.

this'll all go down the memory hole in a couple of days.
This is all on tape and can be used to remind the public of what Dems really believe. Durbin is now an albatross around the Dems shoulders. Using the 'N' word is the ultimate political insult. Now what can the Dems use to villify a great President?

Well... At least they didn't put underwear on his head; that would have been uncivilized.
