I read a statement out this morning, the one where the govt speculated Nat ran away. And the next paragraph said they would solve the case soon and didn't know if it would be "beneficient" to the parents of Nat or not.

Did anyone see a veiled threat here. I think the parents are being told in so many words that to get their daughter back, they have to be mum about things. Say she ran away, anything to keep Arubas ugly underbelly from showing.

I am interested, that stuck out like a red flag to me,,anyone else?

Aruban authorities still aren't calling their probe a criminal investigation, and Dompig said Saturday they haven't ruled out scenarios that Holloway left on her own or was kidnapped.

"The rule of thumb would be that, as more days pass, the fear becomes greater that we're looking at a situation where we might not find a person alive anymore," he said. "We think something will happen soon. Whether it's a conclusion that's good for the family or less beneficial for the family, I don't know."

From Post 11,,this is the threat. Nat's parent may have been a short time to say "oh she runs away, all the time" and then she is produced, they leave, and Aruba chuckles at the nutty runaway teen. Am I paranoid.

I get the feeling that these threats are the general tone of this island and perhaps the reason why the four suspects are terrified.
