Did some digging. McWane, Inc., (foundry conglomerate) supplied the jet. Jug Twitty, the stepdad, is a 'manager for Phoenix Metals in Birmingham'. The mother is a speech-pathologist for little kids. As far as I can tell, Phoenix Metals isn't part of McWane, Inc.

I understand the McWane's and Twitty's are close friends, a friendship stemming from the similarities of McWane Intl. and Phoenix Metals. Mr. McWane had initially offered to put up any monies required for Natalee's release should kidnapping or "sale" be the case. I'm sure that offer is still on the table. It was his jet the Twitty's used for the initial flight to Aruba.
