elli1, thank you for responding. I am well aware of the klintoonista connections in the afore mentioned cases. What could one really expect when you have Janet Reno in charge of the justice department.

Much of your repsponse holds merit as to WACO, Ruby Ridge, OKC bombing, File gate, Travelgate, Fostergate and to include the Ramsey case. During the klintoon Admin (eight years during the reign of terror. Agents either went along at the FBI or they got gone.

With Louie the Spineless, at the helm, buffaloed by Butch Reno he caved, and his agency failed to do their job. I will agree with you.

Ruby Ridge, Bush Sr, failed by allowing FBI sniper Lon Houruchi not to be charged and sentenced for murdering and unarmed mother with a child in her arms.

These thing I will agree with you on as to cover-up, F-up or whatever they should be construed.

We all know the FBI was allegedly invited and they have far better expertise than any other countries law enforcement agencies. The aruban authorities are either too stupid or wish this case to drag on with little or no success.

I sense you have some contempt for American Law Enforcement which maybe some might be merited. You do not know what the arubans are doing right in conducting this investigation. You are also speculating that everything is everything.

My question to you are you now or have ever been involved in conducting a criminal investigation? What is your experience in this field? Please do not view this as sarcasm, just curious.

Well I do have the experience, and so far this investigation has been F-upped from day one. You may disagree, which is your right. Those numbers just don't add up for me, but maybe they do for you.

There is an old saying from years back which I think you should apply to Aruba on your view of this investigation.

It goes like this," Don't Piss Down My Neck and Then Tell Me It's Raining." NSNR

That the FBI is better qualified (in a lot of ways) to investigate a missing person/ presumed kidnapped & murdered case is not the point. The point is jurisdiction. The point is that when a US citizen leaves US soil, they also leave US legal jurisdiction. That is, or should be, understood.

That the Arubans would be reluctant to accept help from the FBI is understandable. We agree that the Bureau has been politicized in the past. Perceptions die hard. And the ongoing gum-flapping about Gitmo & people like Durbin citing e-mails from an alleged FBI source does not help. It sends a message that the FBI cannot be trusted to keep their mouths shut aside from how trivial the 'abuse', even if true, is perceived by Arubans in consideration of their investigative & interrogative methods.

I'll wager that no investigation is 100% perfect. As you said, we don't know what the Arubans are doing right. It's fair to say that they do things 'differently'. Tentatively, I'm surmising that their emphasis is on interrogation and are considerably less hamstrung by rights of the accused. Conversely, forensics plays a larger role in US investigations. In any case, my opinion is that the Arubans are highly motivated to solve the case, for real. Aside from the negative effect on tourism, I can't imagine that they'd be comfortable knowing a presumed killer was at large on their small island.

As to my qualifications, I'd guess that I'm at least as qualified as about 90% of the posters on this thread. Mysteries fascinate me--wish I had pursued investigation/ analysis as an occupation.

You are also speculating that everything is everything.

That is the nature of the Speculation Beast. In the absence of known-knowns, just about anything is possible.
