Florida Governor Jeb Bush has for months sternly rejected running to replace his brother in the White House, but only now we are finding out why.

Friends say it is his wife Columba, who closed the door, 'His wife just said no,' a close Bush Florida pal tells us.

Nobody wants a monarchy.

Generally speaking, a monarchy is an unelected succession of rulers. So if he were elected, there still wouldn't be a monarchy.

Who in their right mind would want another Bush in the White House?

Of course, you are correct. But another Bush candidacy would be portrayed as though the presidency was a Bush entitlement. Jeb knows it is not his time.

2012 or 2016 perhaps.

Anybody who follows Florida politics knows why Jeb won't run.

A national run for the oval office would face some major hurdles:

His wife is Columbian, speaks very poor English, his daughters former drug problems would be a yellow journalist dream come true.

Basically, Jebs wife will not go though with a major national political run.

I can't blame her.

Yes, ANYTHING is better than a Marxist criminal in the Oval Office...but I would not want another Bush as well. Between "read my lips" and supporting illegal immigrants, I have had enough of pseudo-conservatives.

That is not what America needs -- where are Ike and Ronnie when we need them BADLY???

Correction:

She was born in Mexico

The First Lady was born in Leon-Guanajato, Mexico in 1953. She and Governor Bush have been married since 1974 and are the proud parents of three children George, 27, Noelle, 26, and Jebby, 20.

Oh puh_lees. You attack his wife for poor english and you look like a bigot, and attacking a daughter is an even bigger loser. I am not sure Jeb could beat Hillary, but not for those reasons.

I don't think the daughters former drug problem would be a hindrance, it was played all over the press when it happened.

The article is pretty damn wordy. There's only two words needed to explain why he won't run: Terri Schiavo.

I kinda thought it was a dead issue, too. Then he goes and dredges up the Schiavo issue again, looking for something to hang her husband on. What kind of political advantage is he looking for in that?
