The Swimmer, Uh, Gets a Website
raccoonradio ^ | 06/18/05 | raccoonradio

Talk host Howie Carr has launched a website, Fatboy.cc, devoted to the long career of the Swimmer. Complete with pictures, sound clips, merchandise, and Fatboy's favorite quotes.

Have family fun by playing the sound cuts and doing your own Wizard of Uh's contest. How many times does he say "Uh" in a given clip. (Don't be confused by "I-I-Is" or "the-the-the-thes", just "Uhs").

Senator of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts since the year of my birth, 1962. And up for re-election in '06.

A couple days back in Beverly, MA, a drunk driver drifted over the center line of Bridge St. (after hitting two cars) and collided with a car driven by a young and promising woman. She died moments later. The man ran into a house and asked to be protected from the police because he didn't want to be arrested.

The house owner refused and the man fled. The drunk driver was picked up an hour later hitch-hiking; with a huge gash on his head, he was easy to recognize. The man (who has a repeat record of DUIs) is currently awaiting trial--he couldn't make bail of $75,000.

I thought, it reminded me somehow of something in Ted
Kennedy's life...though in Ted's case he got a slap on the wrist.

"Now, now, you listen to ME, Sean. you, you may think you have it but you don't interrupt ME when I'm talkin'"--

Ted Kennedy to Sean Hannity (Sean was interviewing Sen.
Hutchinson of Texas and she spotted Ted in the Senate cloakroom and put him on the phone)

Is there any chance in the world that the GOP might put up an effective challenger in 06?

I'd hate to think that the Mass GOP is conceding the race to Fatboy and won't even put a candidate up...

In 2000 he ran against Jack E. Robinson (GOP) and Carla Howell (Libertarian)(73 to 13 to 12 per cent). In '94, he defeated Mitt Romney (58-41). His opponent in '88 was Joe Malone
(won 66-34). In '82, the late Ray Shamie (61-38).

Who could run? Who might give him a good race?

I had the misfortune to work for a very good friend of Fat Boy's, building a Plant, for the friend, these people and their hanger ons would shock most normal people into a straight Republican Ticket if they could view them up close for an extended period.

The lives that they destroyed, I have met several of the victems, and they still worshop this scum. I was a Republican going into this contract and a solid hard corps Republican coming out of it.

Sheesh. Did anyone go to the link on that site title The Kennedy Girls?

I didn't expect to see a naked Jackie-O and a topless Caroline.

The other blimp -

In this photo provided by the Coral Springs Fire Rescue Thursday, June 16, 2005, a Goodyear blimp is shown partially deflated after it crash landed in a industrial park in Coral Springs, Fla. The two people on board were not injured. Both people onboard were trapped briefly while electrical crews cleared the site, authorities said. I got an email reply from the King of Fried Clams and Tar-Tar Sauce himself (Howie, not Ted) acknowledging that a "rated R" caveat might go up on that Kennedy Girls link!

Ah, one of life's great pleasures. Being able to listen to Howie every afternoon, and to read him in the Boston Herald.

His knowledge of the "Fat Boy", and other politicians is simply amazing.
