Well, originally my idea was a movie. But I didn't know how to write a screenplay, and got a couple of books. Screenplay writing is very different than novel writing, and since I didn't have the plot completely fleshed out, I thought it easier to begin with the novel, THEN go to film. The movie is the ultimate objective here.

I know that a lot of actors will "buy" the rights to a book they particularly like, and will usually make the movie, or have a friend make it...

The problem may be, finding an actor that would be "brave" enough to make the movie...maybe Mel Gibson...

I heard O'Reilly say that he is in business with Mel Gibson, so maybe you could send a copy of the novel to O'Reilly, and see what he thinks, and did he think that Mel would be interested...

I have no doubt your novel will be great---so maybe just word of mouth and good reviews would do it, but a nudge to someone that knows someone, doesn't hurt, IMHO!
