Stop trying to deceive yourself with lies and halftruths and justifications based thereof. Join me in the world of rational thinking and you will be better off. LOL...nah, I don't think I'd want to have your mindset, nor your snooty outlook.

"The September 11 coverage lasted about 3 months ... Abu Ghraib has gone on now (full force) for well over a year."
A sad, alarming, and despicable truth. The leftist media/rats have kept the focus on anything anti-American and at the same time have attempted to put the 9/11 attack on America in as little light as possible or twist it into insane conspiracy theories or outright denial that it was anything more than an isolated criminal incident.

Yes, that should take you to links with PHUSA, "Entrepreneurial Adventure," "The American West," and others. I thought you meant that we were listed on the FREEREPUBLIC home page, and I didn't see us there.

Well, that's publishing. Who will have staying power? My guess is PHUSA. I think Woods has hit all the Libertarian/neo-Confederates he's gonna get, but we'll have generations of students learning from our book.

You are exactly right. I said something on a thread last year---and it was probably poorly stated, but I said that obviously not enough Americans died on 9/11. What I meant was, some people still haven't gotten the message that we are at war, and that Iraq is a drop in the bucket---one battle (it should rightly be called the "Battle of Iraq," not given an operational code name) in a much longer war.
One study of terrorism and "insurgencies" found that in eight out of eleven 20th century "insurgencies/terror fights," the government has won. (Vietnam was an obvious loss). However, EACH of these took a MINIMUM of five years for the government to be victorious. Consider us, in Iraq, the "government" as we are working with the democratic representatives of that country. We've been there two years. I suspect it will take about three or four more before we are 100% victorious and the jihadists have moved on to other pastures of Allah.

Sorry not snooty. Nor do I dwell in fantasy. If you have to embrace fantasy to get you for the Iraq war so be it.

It is not a fantasy. You need to look at history. 9/11 is just that--the day of September 11. Our presence in Iraq is a culmination of events. Without 9/11, Sadaam would probably still be a sitting dictator.
BTW, even if I took your thought that Sadaam had nothing to do with 9-11, he and his sons deserve everything that was handed to them. Do you live in Scotland? I wouldn't expect the Scottish leaders to be telling you why the U.S. is in Iraq, nor would I expect you to understand our outrage.

(it should rightly be called the "Battle of Iraq," Really, it should be called one of the battles against terrorism. 9/11 was one act of terrorism, as Iraq is just one of those battles. The public in general already seems to forget about Afghanistan. They also seem to forget the terrorist attacks before 9-11, and others that have taken place afterward. Even Spain forgets their own citizens murdered by terrorists--or they choose to do nothing about them.
Whoever started this post is right. The media has a big hand in all of this. While we listen to stories about Abu Gharab and Gitmo, the beheadings, the genocide in Iraq, the murders in Afghanistan, 9-11, and all the other individual terrorist attacks are long forgotten. You have Nightline running pix of American soldiers who willingly served their country and died. They should also be running pictures of all the innocent people that died at the hands of terrorists. Even those back in 1988 in the flight over Lockerbie, Scotland. Then, when the run the pictures of the service people that gave their lives, it will be a true tribute to their sacrifice. Now it just looks like anti-war propaganda.

The media conveniently did not mention "D-Day" in our local daily rag (Owned by NYT.) on June 6, 2 weeks ago.

Thanks for the thread T_C. I will NEVER forget, nor will I forgive.
I used to know this liberal chick. She TRIES to forget because thinking about that day makes her 'uncomfortable'. When she told me this I told her she makes me sick. I suspect there are many like her.

there ought to be a 4" color bumper sticker of the top photo (or, a clearer photo).
distributing this across the country would keep 9.11 on the front burner. even liberals would be looking at it on your vehicle at the stop light.

Others have been driven off the forum for posting those pictures "too much." Name one. And keep in mind there's a distinct difference between choosing to leave and being driven off.

I saw JimRob's reply, and to my knowledge neither Dio nor anyone else could come up with a quote.

The Administrator of FR has made it clear that my posts are no longer wanted here.
Oh, my. This is serious. Please post a copy of the message where the Administrator of FR made it clear to you that your were no longer wanted here. I want to see the exact message so I can get it straightened out. Please cut and paste it verbatim to the thread.
