Less than three months after his instructions to starve his wife to death were carried out by court order, Michael Schiavo is seeking a book deal.
Schiavo is in Manhattan, reports the New York Post - "shopping his book proposal among publishers."
"The timing couldn't be better," the Post notes, with news of his wife's autopsy on the front page of every newspaper this week.
Schiavo's book agent, David Vigliano, told the paper: "I think this is a seminal right to die with dignity story."
Schiavo's story, however, may not be over just yet.
Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said Friday he may ask prosecutors to probe questions about Michael's conduct on the night of his wife's collapse 15 years ago, which left her mentally disabled. :
Gee, Michael's a little slow shopping his book. There are five books ahead of his which are factual. Who's going to ghostwrite his harry potter like tale anyway?
Terri's Final Hours. Click on my profile page. Father Frank Pavone's account of Terri's death after suffering at the hands of her state sponsored murder. The State of Florida, I'm ashamed to say via the medicaid plan. That's one medicaid plan that will kill ya.
Jeb is trying to vindicate Charlie Crist and Everett Rice. He's looking to clear Michael before the 2006 elections. Michael is a republican, just like Judge Greer and lots of judges and legislators who voted against Terri's life. The GOP is full of left wingers who think illegal euthanasia is "keen". Why? Because the death lobby flashes a lot of cash and that makes them irresistable.
"WHEREAS, MICHAEL SCHIAVO, a resident of Pinellas County, died March 30, 2005,....."
And we all know if Judge Greer says it no one can change it.
I agree totally - that's been the main issue for me as well.
Oh..I forgot..she didn't leave a living will and in that case the sanctity of marriage covers everything. It supersedes the civil right to life.
Bye bye Mrs. Peterson....your husband measured the quality of your life and found it unacceptable. He knew what was best for his family. How dare the government get involved in your private family matter.
I'm not sure Jeb had a chance in this one. With the help of Felos, the nutty death loving euthanasist attorney, the legislature slipped a provision into Florida law allow Terri to be put to death.
He signed it into law, and it was one of those small sections that no one realizes it's implications until Terri came about. He could not claim it was an inappropriate decision, Jeb signed the law. He could not go in with state troopers, he signed the law, and WOULD be impeached, with good reason.
I doubt Michael Schiavo will be invited to stay at the White House anytime soon, and I think Jeb would rather he be boiled in oil than hear that name again.
My 2 cents.

As I posted on another thread, I think MS turned down money from others to take over Terri's care because he knew there would be a book and a movie deal. Hollyweird will love this story because it gives them a chance to promote their pro-death agenda and bash Republicans and/or pro-lifers.
"Isn't Fuhrman's book also a "ka-ching" opportunity?"
Fuhrman doesn't commit murders, he solves 'em.
For Michael it has always been about the money. After Hollywood goes into the usual bidding war for his New York Times best-seller...those long years will finally pay off for Michael and the new Mrs. Schiavo.
Congratulations, Mike, you won.
"People are angry enough that some will actively interfere with book sales."
You mean I have a right not to buy this thug's book? Won't the ACLU say I'm violating Michael Schiavo's 1st Amendment rights? Oh me oh my
yep
Always book deals. Personally I learned everything I need to know watching Fox news 24/7.
What else could we learn from this man except that he purposefully sought the end of his wife's life for some ill gotten gains or 30 pieces of silver.
This man definitely does not have any dignity.
I suppose that there will be people stupid enough to buy his garbage.
"Something dreadful happens, everyone wants to rush to write books..."
It didn't just happen.
It was premeditated, planned and carried out.
I do not buy books that reward bad behaior. I'll ignore the Runaway Bride's book, this book, the Shindler's book, the Mary Kat LeTourneua wedding and book, the Mark Felt book and movie, Byrd Sheet;s new book and countless others.
"Here's hoping he slips in the shower and bumps his head get knocked out and his current wife can starve him to death for the money he just inherited ( even if she has to lash him to the bed and duct tape his mouth shut for a month or so to keep his screams of bliss and tranquility from waking the neighbors )."
Let's hope Michael stays healthy. He may have an appointment to keep with "ole Sparky" in Tallahassee...or has Florida switched to the needle?

"(T)he Shindler's book?"
What was the Shindler's bad behavior? Trying to save their daughter's life? WTF?
Their arguments with Michael were monetary in the beginning. Not one party to the whole miseralbe mess will get one dime from me.
