I read The Kite Runner and it was excellent. Not too political IMHO. I am now reading The Devil in the White City--true story that reads like fiction.

I read The Devil in the White City, too. I loved it. I thought the parts about the planning of the fair might be a little stale, but they were just facinating. The author paints such a vivid picture of what Chicago was like in those days.

Devil in the White City is chilling. I enjoyed the murderer part more than the engineering but found the contrast fabulous. History can be stranger than fiction and it is almost as if the story wrote itself.
