I've said it before. I'll say it again.

I've taken my children camping in conditions more primitive than Gitmo. I made them chop their own firewood, fetch water, and I won't even mention how we took care of personal business.

Other than being chained, this was pretty much what my life was like for the three years I lived aboard ship when I was in the Navy.

Yeah, no kidding. Gotta keep those berthings cold, though, or they start to smell like feet and a$$.

I know. Man, I was working in the scullery in July in Norfolk. Temperature was over 100 every day in there. Then we had our three months anchored off the coast of the Persian Gulf, 115 every day... and what those malaria pills did to my digestive system I don't even want to tell you.... and there's nothing like wearing a flak jacket in the sun in August off the coast of Oman... those terrorists are lucky I'm not in charge.
