Where did you get this map? It is a time map for the seismic waves to hit various places on the earth. I just looked at the seismic station here in Utah and it is exactly when your map predicts it will be.
BTW, the circles are in minutes.
How old are you -- 12?
I was sitting on guess what at 4:30AM when the Northridge 6.4 hit one mile from here while I was preparing for work. You become wide-awake very quickly. And climb over everything you will throw out the following week.
22 years ago I was. You're point?
It sure has Allegra.
I'm outta here for the night.
Thanks to all who are so faithful with keeping everyone up on the news....and my prayers go to ALL who are jittery...and for all of us to remain safe.
Nite!
Just FYI. Another one up North.
Amen and sleep well, Brad's Gramma. Here's hoping for continued calm in your neck of the woods. :-)
Shalom Red Sea Swimmer....
Ditto there bd.....YOU need to get in bed too, young lady! :)
Good night BG!
Thanks for the memories, Bob. I just recalled a 1/2 gallon glass bottle of Imported Extra Virgin Olive Oil in my kitchen.
It flew out of the cupboard hit something near the refrigerator, rebounded, broke and sprayed olive oil all over the lower kitchen cabinets then when the refrigerator door swung open, it somehow was catapulted into the refrigerator.
I found olive oil and glass all over the kitchen.
Yep, that will help, especially if we have a typical early morning wake-up call. Which hopefully we won't.
Thanks for posting the seismograph, Lokibob. Pretty big shaker.
Blessings on you, all of CA Freepers in CA right now. I'm not there; but I'm in spirit with ya.
ON THE BRIGHT SIDE however, being in the country during an earthquake is REALLY kewl. Nothing's going to fall on you; and the trees (flowers, shrubs, bushes) look like HUGE pompoms sticking out of the earth waving and swinging with the rolling earthquakes; shaking like mad during a jolt.
OTOH... uh.. being on 33rd floor of Spear Street Towers in SF... and having to crawl around because the building was swaying so much.. not my favorite quake.. people getting motion sickness..
You're awfully flippant with the lives of other people's children.
Ever been in the eye of a tornado?
Or an earthquake over 7.0?
Appears there has been another shaker off the coast of Point Reyes. Hasn't been classified yet.
