Maybe she used poetic license. Do you honestly think that "everyone" there loved her, got drunk with her and took pictures with her, as she says in the original article? I don't believe that for a second.
No, I don't believe that, but then sometimes I say things like, "everyone was very friendly" etc. etc. when I mean everyone or most everyone I spoke with personally. I imagine some people did do that. Not to mention some people were likely just plain nice to her. Not all Conservatives are stuck up jerks. Add to that the fact that quite a few may not have even known who she was. They may have just said hello and made small talk out of courtesy. A lot of people attended, I doubt she spoke to all of them, but have no problem believing the people she did speak to probably didn't treat her like she had the plague. Some people probably did get their picture taken with her too. I'd imagine not all of the attendees share the faith in Christ that I do.
Had I been there and come across her during the night, I'd have been friendly too. It's not like she was peddling her porn or anything.
Oh, and I have NO problem believing more than a few people might have gotten a bit tipsy.
