Van Susteren and Coale are Scientologists. But unlike members of established religions, whose own beliefs might seem improbable if they weren't so widely held, these part-time Clearwater residents are not exactly eager to draw attention to this fact.

How could anyone, especially those that one would think had some smarts buy into this garbage? Got to be some heavy duty brainwashing going on, or some big money to be made. A lot of celebrities are scientolgists. Do they really believe in that crap? It just astounds the mind.
Maybe Mel Gibson's next movie should be an expose on Scientolgy. If he thinks the The Passion caused an uproar! LOL
All the fuss with Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes and her conversion to Scientology in prep for their marriage may draw attention to this, perhaps. It sounds to me like a 20th Century fiction piece that bamboozled people who would normally be considered sane.
Can I get reparations for this?
