John Kerry Reportedly To Present "Downing Street Memo" To Congress
June 6, 2005 4:42 p.m. EST
Douglas Maher - All Headline News Staff Reporter
snip
However, All Headline News has re-discovered that a bill signed by then President Clinton named "The Iraqi Liberation Act of 1998" could have given President Bush all of the legal recourse necessary for the war.
Stating directly from the bill: "Iraq Liberation Act of 1998 - Declares that it should be the policy of the United States to seek to remove the Saddam Hussein regime from power in Iraq and to replace it with a democratic government. "
The H.R. 4655 law was signed into effect October 31,1998.
Republicans reportedly plan to issue a response to Kerry by using his own words against him, where he is quoted as saying the war was justified and Saddam Hussein needed to be removed.

The problem they have is there is no "There" there
Any Dem Senator that signs that petition is a fool and can kiss their political career good bye
The Senate would need the House for impeachment. Delay and Denny own the House. This is Theatrics. They are impotent.
They would either have to resort to armed rebellion. Guess which side has the military? Or win back the House. That isn't likely.
I know the radical mind. This is why I have stated either the old Blue Dog Dems will have to take back their party by force, or this generation will have to die before peace is known.
Nothing they do surprises me. Nor do I fear them. Any of them. Including Hill.
It's a rough bloody long war but we'll win because we must win.
y'all are evil and I am PROUD to be here!
It's the last stand of the '60's radical.
Consider this America being given a second chance to right the wrongs of the '60's and the '70's.

Are the comments about Durbin by Kyl, Warner, etc. on this thread, and if so, about where? Thanks!
I told my husband today, that after the way Durbin, and all of the others have been talking about the treatment of the prisoners in Gitmo, and wanting to pull out of Iraq, because we are "losing",,,
IF a dem were to win the White House in 2008, they wouldn't have a military, because I would tell my nephew to leave if he had to work with a CIC that hates American, and the military, and wants America to fail...
Of course the way Durbin is going, a lot of them will leave now, and/or get killed, because his speech(es) are all over the Middle East..
vetvetdoug for one.
Whats the matter?
Many left during the Clinton years.
Said it during the campapign. If Kerry were elected they would need a draft because few would wish to serve him.
What a day :-)
Yeppers, when ever the mention of re-enlistment and recruiting comes up, the dems act like it is because of the war, and the guys/girls are too scared...
NOPE, who wants to join a group that is going to be called torturers by the Congress?
Why put your life on the line this month, when the dems would pull the troops and end up looking like whipped puppies...?
They don't think that Americans are smart enough to figure out that their badmouthing of the war, is possibly going to accomplish what they want--ONE WORLD ORDER---where the US is no more important or potent or rich than any other country...
Dianna has a little problem she needs to ask someone about.
Thank you!
