I'm still waiting for my results (they're in the final stages.) Is that all the information they give you? Nothing else?

I dunno - figure a small percentage of folks are going to find some evidence that the man they knew as their dad isn't actually their father. That's kind of unsettling - I'd just sooner let things be and look towards the future, and not so much at the past.

"If I ran for office I would get my roots traced for free."
Only if the MSM thought you weren't a Liberal.
And while we are on the subject of roots of those in the MSM sights, ever notice how many televised heads seem to have hair that is about as real as their promises?

No, your direct lines can go through many ethnic groups, and many Americans' will.

Y chromosome traced to Haplogroup O (genetic marker M175).Oh, man, that's.......not good. So you come from that male line, hmm?
I mean, not that I'm prejudiced or anything.... I always thought that Charlie Manson and Ted Bundy were misunderstood.

Maybe they'll be able to tell whose hair this is:
Early (Ancient) Hair Sample Raises Questions
"Scientists have found an ancient strand of hair in Woodburn's Front Street Park - a human hair that may have been left behind before modern American Indians settled in North America a few thousand years ago."
"While scientists have yet to determine its age, the layer of soil it was in dates back 11,000 to 12,000 years."

- - "sign the informed consent form."
It's merely a contradiction. Not to mention the fact that your payment card or check is easily both tracable and exceeding likely to be downloaded into a file.
National Geographic is now run by activist journalists - the PR division of GangGreen. They see nothing wrong with such contradictions. And the $99 looks good to 'em.
Trust the nice activist journalist - just sign on the dotted line. And sign the informed consent form send the $99.

Considering the misuse that racial classifications are put to the idea of a master database of such doesn't strike me as a particularly good idea.
