Not true. Reagan approved Amnesty then said WE MUST SEAL THE BORDER. Reagan cut non discretionary spending 12.5% in his first year.Kept growth at less than the rate of inflation for the next seven all with an ULTRA liberal congress. The GOP has gone out of their way to increase spending.Imagine Reagan with this congress.

I disagree. Many of these issues were set in a different context back in the 80's. A good way to know what Reagan would have supported in the 21st century is to look at what his former cabinet members, advisors, and allies support today. Bush's administration is stacked with Reaganites. Even most of the ones not in the current administration support Bush's policies... with the exception of Pat Buchanan. Bush II has more of a Reaganite administration than Reagan's VP, Bush I.
