It seems that the direct damage by earthquake was not devastating. Let's hope the Tsunami will not cause damage.

It looks like it may have been on the San Andreas Fault (at the north end).

It's on KCAL news in Los Angeles now. They said it was downgraded to a 7.1, but Tsunami warnings are from the Mexico/US border north to Vancouver.

I found out because I'm on a breaking news mailing list which told me there was a tsunami alert issued. Then I looked on the quake websites and lo & behold, wham..7.4. I haven't seen any MSM coverage. I wonder if they felt it in Frisco?

That's huge compared to the tiny shaker we felt down here this weekend.

Thanks, I'll turn it on. Not a thing on KFI AM radio. Just John Ziegler prattling on.

Seeing as how the San Andreas fault runs through Oakland, I wouldn't doubt it.

Huge by comparison. I felt that quake pretty well, btw. It was slidey.

Oh, KFI says "7.5 quake off the coast of northern CA..no reports of damage." No mention of tsunami alert.
