An Emergency Broadcast System tsunami warning for the entire California coast came across the TV at very high volume. I yelled at my son to turn the dang TV off; it's continuous misinformation/disinformation/garbage. Never heard a genuine EBS alert broadcast before.

Been living in Northern CA for 38 years, exactly. Never heard a tsunami warning for any stretch of beach, let alone the entire coast!

We're just a few miles from the coast, but there is a large mountain range between our house & the ocean. We're pretty high up in the hills.

Went outside to check, just to be sure. A lovely evening here, not quite balmy. Very surprised to see a large, long pool of water flowing from my backyard drain all the way down the hill! Whoa!

Turns out the garden sprinkler system was inadvertently on.

Har har HAR dee har har!

Not to be confused with the annoying persistent slow leak from our hot tub.

Now if only we can dry out the area under our kitchen sink, where our shiny new garbage disposal inexplicably shook itself free of its 3 retaining screws, life might get back to normal. Or perhaps not. Plumber sez he never saw anything like it.
