In defense of normal Kansans (of which I'm one), this occurred under the watch of an Ohio transplant named Sebelius. I'll never fully understand how it managed to be elected governor, but the majority of the blame should be leveled at the residents of Sedgewick County and the great numbers of job transferees from the more eastern states.

yup, we have become the nation of PC, just give him a slap on the hand, just like those European governments do. Of course I made a generalization on this. Heck, even the US Supreme Court now refer to the international laws when making the desicions.
