That is a bayourod classic, worthy of the Baghdad Bob award. Here's what the treason lobby's open borders have actually brought to LA:

Massive Police Action Nets 19 Gang Arrests 900 Law Enforcement Officers Act Simultaneously

POSTED: 6:50 am PDT June 21, 2005 UPDATED: 9:27 am PDT June 21, 2005

BURBANK, Calif. -- At least 19 arrests were made overnight in a raid targeting a violent San Fernando Valley gang suspected of killing two police officers.

The early-morning raid began at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, when officers began serving 43 search and arrest warrants on members of the Vineland Boyz gang in Los Angeles, Palmdale, Rosamond, Valencia, Bakersfield and Simi Valley, police said. The Vineland Boyz gang is suspected in the fatal shooting of Los Angeles Officer James Beyea in 1988 and the 2003 shooting death of Burbank Officer Matthew Pavelka.

By 5:30 a.m., at least 19 of the 43 gang members being sought were in custody, and "Operation Silent Night" was continuing, said Los Angeles police Chief William Bratton. He promised an update at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

"We're very pleased this morning with the results of this operation," Bratton said.

Pavelka's father, also a police officer, told NBC4's Robert Kovacik how he felt about the murder of his son at the hands of gang members.

"I feel some responsibility for what happened because Matthew followed in my footsteps, on a path that was a dangerous one, and, unfortunately, he was one of those officers that paid the ultimate price."

The arrests were made under the federal RICO law, which was enacted to dismantle organized crime groups.

During a rare 5 a.m. news conference just hours after the arrests, LAPD Chief William Bratton called the gang a "modern-day Mafia."

The task force that served the warrants and made the arrests involved 900 local and federal law enforcement officers and nine police helicopters acting simultaneously.

The Vineland Boyz gang is a criminal organization, "involved in drug trafficking, murders, attempted murders and extortion," Bratton said.

Bratton said Tuesday's operation was the culmination of an 18-month investigation.

Bratton called the Vineland Boyz gang members "poster boys" who had been targeted by the LAPD.
