Yes, there is innoculation (vaccine) against TB. My own kids had those. Then, there are also anti-malaria agents should one acquire malaria.
Speznetz asked a good question. He obviously has some insight into what causes the "age gap". I was speculating as to a reason why the age gap. I'm hoping he'll provide more insight.

dear poster perhaps you are thinking of Polio,diphtheria,typhus,yellow fever - I wish it were so there is no vaccine for TB - if you have one (a vaccine) please lets go into business. TB is rapidly becoming a major problem in USA with MDRTB imported by rapid illegal immigration.
