Key Senate Republicans are considering gradually raising the Social Security retirement age as high as 69 over several years as they struggle to jump-start legislation that President Bush has placed atop his second-term agenda, officials said Tuesday.
Raising the retirement age is unpopular, according to some surveys.

I hope they include that as a minimum age for them to be able to start collecting their congressional pensions too!
I want my money back, including the amounts paid by my employers, plus interest at about 5%. NOW.
They make me wanna throw up. What's good for the goose ought to be good for the gander. But, NO, they only look out for themselves.
Haven't read thread yet (dangerous!) but I hope the senators include themselves in this new scheme. Many of them should be "retired" well before 69....
