Because Texas A&M, like most if not all public universities, is dominated by liberals. In the 1996 Presidential Election, the faculty voted more liberal (Democrat/Green/Communist/etc) on a proportional basis than did the faculty of U.S. Berkley. The student body however is mostly conservative but also has its share of moonbats.
No excuse... I know and respect lots of Aggies and there needs to be a HUGE gathering of demonstrating students to shut this idiot down NOW. This is horribly disrespectful for A&M, not to mention our President and country. The A&M I've always heard about wouldn't put up with it for a second!
